The past few years, Naval History Department is actively engaged in the effort of promoting the various warships wrecks scattered in the Greek maritime area.
Using information from the existing archives of N.H.D Archives Section and data from various sources (private researchers, organizations, individuals, internet etc.) the Department is leading in a demanding and laborious effort to identify and accurately record and documented, identified war ships wrecks.
The ultimate goal is the overall exploitation of recorded shipwrecks where feasible and the completion of this effort in the shortest possible time considering at the same time the possibility of lifting a number of objects that are important in terms of historical value
