Following a thirty years old tradition, “Naval Review” magazine, an award-winning magazine of the Academy of Athens, in which articles and photographies are published mainly by members of the Hellenic Navy or by distinguished personalities of the academic and artistic community, has established an annual thesis and photography contest, introducing three prizes (A, B and C) and two praises (A and B) per category.
More specific the subjects for the above Theses are determined by the HNGS including the following main categories:
• National Policy and Strategy
• National Defence
• Naval History
• Naval Strategy and Tactics
• Organization – Management
• Ship Developments – Weapons
• Logistics
Candidate images should illustrate naval issues of interest highlighting the love for the sea and maritime history including activities and moments in the Navy.
Finally, It should be mentioned that the winning Thesis and photos, in addition to the award will be also published in the forthcoming issue of “Naval Review ” magazine
