N.H.D publishes the magazine “Naval Review” four times every year.
The magazine was born when the supervisor of H.N.G.S Historical Records Department, Rear Admiral Dimitrios Fokas recommended in 1917 its adoption as the official magazine of the Hellenic Navy.
The magazine was released continuously from March 1917 until 1941, when interrupted by 2nd W.W events. It was reissued in 1945 since today. In1977 the magazine was awarded by the Academy of Athens.
From 1988 until October 1996 the “Naval Review” published reprints of scarce historical texts and original papers. In recent years, on the occasion of completion of 100 years of the acquisition of battleship “Georgios Averof” and the Greek victory in the Balkan Wars “Naval Review” magazine issued special anniversary editions.
